About Us

About the 12th Stafford (Berkswich) Scout Group

The 12th Scout Group was registered on 8th March 1951 and have been at our present site, which was purpose built by the parents of the day, since the late 60’s. Obviously over the years there has been a lot of alterations, modifications and makeovers which has resulted in us having a really good and up to date meeting place. We also boast having a good sized field, a separate fire lighting area and also a Climbing Wall at our premises. The Climbing wall is run and controlled by the Stafford District Climbing Team.

We are a very active and vibrant Group which is reflected in the number of young people coming to us every week. The 2019 Census shows our membership at 210.

About our Sections

We have 3 Beaver Colonies, 3 Cub Packs and 3 Scout Troops that meet every week under the supervision of highly qualified leaders whose aim is to provide the children with good quality Scouting.

Activities on offer include camping, which is a key element of Scouting, kayaking, climbing and lots of other adventurous pursuits. Of course, high on the list is having fun, making new friends, learning to work as a team and respect for one another.

All enquiries should be made to the Group Scout Leader. Contact details can be found on our Contact Us page.
